Happy Fourth of July from USAN to all Azerbaijani-Americans, Turkic-Americans and all American people

Washington, D.C. — On July 4, 1776, the Second Continental Congress unanimously adopted the Declaration of Independence, announcing the colonies’ separation from Great Britain. The Constitution provides the legal and governmental framework for the United States, however, the Declaration, with its eloquent assertion “all Men are created equal,” is equally beloved by the American people.

This Fourth of July marks the 233rd anniversary of the Declaration of Independence. America being a land of immigrants, it was no surprise
that nine of the signers of the Declaration of Independence were themselves immigrants.

The U.S. Azeris Network (USAN) wholeheartedly congratulates all of its members, all Azerbaijani-Americans, all Turkic-Americans and the
entire American nation with this important date – the 4th of July.
